Creative Arts

Nathan WoodMarch 6, 2018March 9, 2023

Creative Arts consists of course disciplines that develop knowledge, understanding and skills of production-based art-forms encompassing Graphic Design, Photography, Film, Media and Visual Art.

The teaching and learning in the Creative Arts focuses on making and responding to own and professional artworks, both in past and contemporary times, and exploring artworks in differing cultural contexts. Students examine the fundamental role of artists as creators of cultural identity, commenting on social and/or political topics or issues, innovating, experimenting and creating complexity in the planning and design of artworks for audiences.

Within the Creative Arts curriculum, students are provided with opportunities to work individually and collaboratively. They work through processes linked to industry practice and have access to dynamic technologies that facilitate the creation of art.
