Mathematics
The study of Mathematics is an essential part of every students’ learning, no matter at what level. The Mathematics department offers a wide range of courses that develop and enhance students’ analytical and problem-solving skills.
The department also provides a Mathematics Enrichment programme and homework classes. Classroom activities include the integration of technology, use of graphing calculators, and the development of learning skills such as communication and self-management. Additionally, students participate in state and national competitions, such as the Australian Mathematics Competition and the Mathematics Olympiad.
Middle School (6-8)
In the Middle School we use the Middle Years Programme (MYP) to teach Mathematics concepts and content. The three strands we focus on are Number and Algebra, Measurement and Geometry and Statistics and Probability.
The Approaches to Learning are an integral part of our pedagogy in order to be successful in their future Mathematics studies.
Senior School (9-12)

Courses include the study of Algebra, Financial Mathematics, Geometry, Statistics, Discrete Mathematics, Trigonometry and Calculus.
The Mathematics department includes a group of specialist teachers with backgrounds in Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, and Engineering.
