Da Vinci Decathlon
The da Vinci Decathlon is an academic competition designed to challenge and stimulate the minds of school students. Students from Years 5 and 6 compete in teams of eight across 10 disciplines: Engineering, Mathematics, Code breaking, Art and Poetry, Science, English, Ideation, Creative Producers, Cartography and General Knowledge. The Decathlon competition places a particular emphasis on higher order thinking skills, problem solving and creativity. In 2018 the Junior School competed for the first time in this event, in collaboration with Middle School. For 2019, the event will be organised into two separate events for those students in Years 5 and 6, thus allowing 8 students from Junior School to prepare for and represent the College at this exciting event.
