Community, Participation, Future

Scotch College prides itself on the development of the ‘whole’ boy. As Head of Senior School, I have the pleasure to see boys discover their place in the world as they transition through their Senior schooling to the world beyond.

In developing the ‘whole’ boy, Scotch College offers a challenging and stimulating academic and co-curricular programme which provides a balance between a student’s intellectual, physical, emotional and spiritual needs.

Our academic programme is delivered within the framework of the International Baccalaureate and Diploma Programmes, the West Australian Curriculum and the Australian Curriculum. This programme encourages our boys to become inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. Boys in Years 11 to 12 choose between the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme and the Western Australian Certificate of Education providing a full range of tertiary education or vocational education pathways.

Foremost in the Senior School, we aim to provide a learning environment in which each student feels safe, nurtured, recognised and affirmed, is assisted to grow to the fullness of his potential and to experience the feeling of belonging to the whole community.
