Encouraging Excellence
An award card system is in place across the Junior School to encourage boys to do their best and to acknowledge both their endeavours and achievements. Classrooms also run their reward systems.
House Awards
Are used to reinforce positive work habits, the completion of work of a high standard and demonstrations of the learner profile or IB attitudes in the classroom or in specialist lessons. House Awards contribute towards points for the bi-weekly and annual House competition.
Excellence Awards
Excellence Awards are presented by the teachers to boys for effort and quality of work.
Scotch Odyssey
The Scotch Odyssey is a challenge of collecting teacher signatures in the School diary. On completion of the six different badges, children are awarded at assembly.
Head of Junior School’s Worker of the Week
Each week a student who has demonstrated effort, commitment and perseverance in some way in the classroom is chosen by their teacher to visit the Head of Junior School and receive praise for their efforts.
Headmaster’s Commendations
Headmaster’s Commendations are presented to boys in the Junior School who demonstrate qualities or effort that aligns with the College Mission Statement or the IB learner profile.
