Product Design
This course is intended to provide students with a range of creative and technical skills through the design and production of a unique musical instrument. The emphasis in this course is creative innovation; much of the learning will occur in the design studio or workshop environment using state-of-the-art tooling such as laser cutters and 3D printers. As part of this course students will develop design skills, produce computer-aided drawings and construct working prototypes. This course will allow students to express their ingenuity, creativity and intellectual abilities, and skills. Students will acquire knowledge and develop skills that are becoming increasingly valuable in a variety of fields, but especially for careers in architecture, engineering and product design.
