Students will develop skills using hand and power tools to construct creative and innovative items using wood, plastic and metal.  This course will incorporate the use of computer aided design packages, laser engraving and 3D printing. Activities range from skill builders to a focus on a designed major task based on a bedside table lamp. Students will be encouraged to be creative problem solvers and develop their design skills through the MYP design cycle. There is a strong emphasis on working safely in the workshop setting. Students completing this course can choose any Year 9 Design subject.
